Probably you hear this all the time, but I need to say: You are amazing! Not just a amazing writer, but a incredible person! I hope, one day, be a author like you. Thank you so much~<3
ReplyDelete*hugs* You're so nice to say that! And just keep writing and it will happen for you, too. Good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteSeeing the Pinterest board and being reminded of the upcoming release has brought my hype for this book all the way back up. Already looking forward to reading it sometime this year if I get around to it. The first chapter was already highly promising!
ReplyDeleteAnd to answer your question in the giveaway: I prefer brothers Grimm's fairytales. The ones from Disney have some charm to them, too, but I grew up with reading old collections of Grimm fairytales and I still read a fairytale or two every now and then. You just never grow too old for them.
DeleteI love Disney but I actually prefer Grimm fairytales. I love how dark they can be. Thank you so much for this generous giveaway, Anita! :D
ReplyDelete"Do your prefer Grimm fairytales, or Disney?" Grimm! The grimmer the better!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy both Disney and Grimm fairy tails. They are both amazing!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely cannot wait until I get to read this book. I've read everything else you've written so I know I'm going to love it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Grimms fairy tales over Disney ones. The original stories are darker and that, to me, makes it more interesting. I'm so excited for your new release! I love all of your books!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for Stain!
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer Disney because that is what I was raised on.
Super excited. Thank you for doing this!
ReplyDeleteSo excited!!
ReplyDeleteI prefer Disney because I grew up with its films and I used to dream about living in one of them, but now that I'm older I realized that I wouldn't mind a bit of darkness too ;)
Both! Seriously, that's a hard one. I grew up with the Grimms books and the Disney movies.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimms fairy tales because they are more dark and closer to real life as compared to Disney which tends to water things down and leave out the gore.
ReplyDeletein answer to the question, I prefer Grimm over Disney. I like happily ever after, but I love how dark the Grimm tales are.
ReplyDeleteI love the Grimm versions!!
ReplyDeleteLove, Kelsey C.
I love the Grimm version over the Disney one😊
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimm dark Stories with Disney's happy endings:D
ReplyDeleteGrimm over everything! It just speaks to my soul like no other. It reminds me of my mom reading to me when I didn't feel good. I was a very sick child still am but every single time I didn't feel good, my mom would read me stories. Don't get me wrong I love Disney as well, I think we all grew up on Disney in one way or another but what makes my heart fill with happiness is dark, gloomy, stories that makes me feel like it's ok to not be ok. I battle mental illness every single day &, this is the best way I can describe it, when I read a book, watch a movie/tv show, or even when I see it raining outside, I live for those days/moments because it makes me feel like I don't have to be happy all the time. Like it's normal to be sad or a little down sometimes, & when it rains that's one way of Mother Nature letting out ALL the stuff she's been holding in & telling us, "It's ok child. Let it out. Let all that sadness out because it does no one good to hold it in." I hope that made sense to someone lol good luck to everybody! 💜
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful and profound! I'm so happy reading helps you find your balance. <3 Good luck in the giveaway!
DeleteI prefer Grimm fairy tales for me, I like my fairy tales with a dark twist.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely grim fairytales. I am obsessed with fae creatures of all kinds.
ReplyDeleteWhile I love Disney, I prefer the darker Grimm fairy tales.
ReplyDeleteI like both, but I've discovered I *love* Grimm fairytales for sure! ♥
ReplyDeleteI like both, but the older I get the more I like the darker Grimm stories.
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to get my hands on this book! Thanks for being an amazing person and an amazing author!
ReplyDeleteI love both Disney and Grimm fairytales but I think there is something about reading Grimm fairytales that make you love them more
ReplyDeleteI like both Disney and Grimm, but Grimm definitely has more adult situations. LOL Ilove to read both tho.
ReplyDeleteGrimm Fairytales are my favorite! Thank you
ReplyDeleteI can’t really choose a side! They’re both really great, and it honestly just depends on my mood!!! If I’m wanting to feel all upbeat and happy and looking for a good sing along, I’ll probably go Disney. But if I’m needing a darker twist to things, I’d go Grimm.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimm's version as they are closer to oral tales
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Disney Princesses and I'm a sucker for happily ever after so I guess I prefer Disney
ReplyDeleteBoth. But I love Disney's Hea.
ReplyDeleteGrimm all day and all night! 💜✨
ReplyDeleteThanks for the stellar giveaway chance. 👍👍👍✨
I prefer Grimm fairy tales. It's interesting how they can take something with the genre of "fairy tale," something that sounds light and happy, and twist it into something so sinister and dark but can still have meaning and the purpose of teaching a lesson.
ReplyDeleteI love both grimm and disney depending on my mood!! Happy = disney. Sad or Mad = grimm
ReplyDeleteThank you for being the one author I can really escape with :)
Love the board! And I prefer Grimm fairytales!
ReplyDeleteI think Disney, I grew up watching Disney VHS!!! :):)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway!
"Do your prefer Grimm fairytales, or Disney?"
ReplyDeleteI guess it really depends on the story! For the more popular stories, I prefer the magic of Disney, but more unknown ones have this special, dark vibes to it.
I like the dark twists, so Grimm fairy tales.
ReplyDeleteWhile I love Disney, I prefer the Grimm fairy tales. The only reason is because as a kid I was sure they were my grandmother's stories.
ReplyDeleteRaffle name: Artemis Giote
I prefer Grimm fairy tales because they are darker which I enjoy more
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimm fairytales it has less of the flowers & sunshine thing that Disney usually goes for.
ReplyDeleteI love Grimm fairy tales, but I grew up with Disney and I love them too! I think I love Disney most! XD
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimm's faerie tales. I love the darkness of them!
ReplyDeleteI love both - the Disney ones for magic and enchantment and a sense of hope and the Grimm ones for the darkness and the fascinating socio-cultural insights and hidden meanings.
ReplyDeleteI love both! Grimm because they're dark and twisty and Disney because I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI just want to say thank you for the opportunity of this offer. Not a chance to win here haha, but it's so beautiful I need to say. I love you <3.
And from my answer ... I think I love them both, just for different reasons.
Disney is a part of my childhood, they talk about hope and faith in "Happily Ever After"; they have all that songs that every one sings and toches our hearts.
The Grimms Fairy Tales, actually all of Fairy Tales, the have lessons to teach us that have been passed over generations and we can't' even come close to understand. They explain in a metaphoric way the archetypes of Hero, Justice, Good, Love and others.
I dont no if I express myself rigth, since english is not my first language, but I hope you understand ^-^.
I prefer Grimm but I can do Disney. Grimm just has that darker edge that resonates with me on a deeper level.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Grimm but I can do Disney. Grimm is darker and resonates with me on a deeper level.
ReplyDeleteGrimm for me (they are more believable)
ReplyDeleteAnd Disney for the kiddos!
If i had to choos be treen grimm and disney... i would definitely choose grimm! I love reading the original fairy tales that they wrote!
ReplyDeleteOoh that's a tricky question. I love both in there own respects. I grew up on Disney and I love the hope and happiness that has been instilled in most stories. I love that the female roles for the most part are empowered and are found valuable for more then just there beauty. I enjoy Grimm as well thou. They may be darker but sometimes there is more truth to the dark. Life isn't all about happy endings and being saved. There's most certainly life lessons to be had in the original stories. Thank you for the opportunity to win some special goodies! I adore your splintered series on such a personal level. Roseblood is close to my heart due to growing up with the phantom. Looking forward to Stain, from what I've read in already hooked!

ReplyDeleteI picked up Splintered 2 days ago and was so taken with the story that I immediately needed to find the next 2 books in the series and plan to finish them all in the next 2 weeks! That being said.... whether or not I prefer Grimm over Disney? It really does depend on my mood. I generally prefer Grimm but occasionally I do need the pick-me-up sweetness that Disney provides.
ReplyDeleteI like both! I think I prefer the happiness and magic of Disney, but I love the darkness of the Grimm fairytales too...
ReplyDeleteI've never read the Grimm fairytales, so I'll have to say that I prefer Disney. Thank you for this opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. I love the darkness of his stories.
ReplyDeleteOh my ♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteI really want this book! From your biggest fan in Brazil!
Grimm tales! And you are so Amazing! Love your books! ❤
ReplyDeleteI love Grimm Fairytales, because they are intriguing. I would have to say Disney though, because they bring more happiness.Haha.
ReplyDeleteSo much love for your books, i really want Stain and of course Alice the Absent. But the pre-order bonus, including Alice the Absent is just for US right? If thats the case, i would like other way to have it, selling separately maybe.
ReplyDeleteYes, the preorder swag is being offered by my domestic publisher only. But if the story is ever available to buy, I'll let everyone know!
DeleteBoth! I'm a big fan of Disney fairytales but I also LOVE the darkness in Grimm's stories, so I can't choose. Love the Pinterest board! Thank you so much for the amazing giveaway! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh I just entered the wrong link to my Twitter share. This is the one:

I think I still prefer Disney's tales, because it has almost everything I want in a tale. Great adventures, interesting stories, important life messages, some conflicts are deep enough to hurt your feeling, fierce actions, and the soundtracks hmm some of them are really eargasm!
ReplyDeleteGrimm. I enjoy the grisly elements.
ReplyDeleteI prefer Disney, it always reminds me of my youth :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like both! It all depends on my mood. I do like the more dark tones that the Grimm fairytales have but if I have to choose one I prefer I'd say Disney because of nostalgia to childhood and its comforting. I also love the tv show Once Upon A Time as well. I love how it takes fairytales but gives the stories we know a twist!
